Your Heart in Expert Hands: AIA's Partnership with National Heart Centre Singapore

At AIA Singapore, your well-being is our top priority. That's why we've partnered with the National Heart Centre Singapore (NHCS), a leading national and regional referral centre for cardiovascular care, to ensure you have access to high-quality, trusted heart care.

Value-Driven Cardiac Care

Since 2019, NHCS's Value-Driven Care (VDC) approach has enhanced how cardiac care is delivered. This patient-centred approach has led to more efficient treatment pathways, faster recovery times, and reduced complications – ultimately delivering greater value for every healthcare dollar spent.

  • Feel Confident with Proven Outcomes:

NHCS maintains rigorous standards and tracks treatment outcomes for all cardiac procedures, from complex heart surgeries like coronary artery bypass grafting1 to minimally invasive interventions like percutaneous coronary intervention2. These results are benchmarked against top international centres, ensuring you receive care that meets global standards of excellence, and giving you peace of mind.
  • Recover Faster with Streamlined Care:
NHCS prioritises efficient care pathways, such as specialised post-operative recovery units and day surgery options for eligible patients, where appropriate. This typically leads to shorter hospital stays, quicker recovery times and lower risk of hospital-acquired infections.
  • Worry Less with Effective Cost Management:
NHCS is committed to providing the best possible care while managing costs effectively.  As an AIA customer, this means you'll receive high quality treatment that is both effective and affordable; with the potential for lower out-of-pocket payments.

1 Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), also known as heart bypass surgery, is an open-heart surgery which is an open heart surgery where the surgeon opens up the chest and uses veins and/or arteries to bypass blocked or narrowed blood vessels in the heart.
2 Percutaneous coronary intervention or PCI is a minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure used to open narrowed arteries. It involves the use of a flexible catheter with a balloon at the tip which is inflated at high pressure on the narrowed arterial wall. Usually a stent (metallic wire mesh) will be placed in the artery after angioplasty.
